Embodied Mindfulness & Compassionate Touch for Well-being & Vitality
With Anthony Fidler & Julia Gray
An experiential & transformative mini-workshop for people seeking to connect with themselves and others in deeper more authentic ways.
We will explore together how embodied mindfulness & compassionate touch practices can help us regulate our own nervous systems at the same time as co-regulating with those around us.
Couples seeking tools to enhance their capacity to support each other in times of stress are also very welcome as are therapists seeking to enhance their capacity to work with trauma and distress.
Julia Gray will be co-facilitating at this workshop and will close the session guiding us through a Yoga Nidra session.
Embodied Mindfulness
Embodied Mindfulness is a way of being in which you are fully connected with your body and you feel safe.
Your mind is quiet and present to your experience of life happening that moment and your heart feels warm and open to yourself and to those around you.
This is a state of well-being and good feeling.
We will explore together how mindfulness & touch based connection practices can help us to move closer towards this state.
We are not looking for 'cures' or 'fixes'.
Whatever our role or situation, we are learning to be with ourselves and to be ourselves. Just as important we are learning to be fully present with others.
As we transform the way we relate to ourselves, our experiences and the world, symptoms which distress us may also change.
Along the way everyone involved will enhance their capacity to hold safe space for others.
And this will touch everything we do in life from then on...

About Anthony:
I have passed through extreme physical and mental health issues through my life, yet somehow have always managed to find amazing tools to heal myself.
I first experienced anxiety, panic attacks and mild depression while in my final year at Cambridge University in 1991.
This continued during my work as a financial auditor and software programmer, where I experienced chronic stress and then went into a meltdown of physical and mental fatigue. A serious breakdown / burnout. The breakdown eventually brought me into the psychiatric system for a while.
In response to these difficulties, from 1997, I chose to spend extensive periods of time both in India learning yoga & meditation and China learning Tai Chi and Qi Gong. The practices helped enormously and became a cornerstone of my life.
Over time I've become a qualified Mindfulness teacher, Tai Chi & Qi Gong teacher and have been teaching since 2015. I am also an experienced student of the late Akinobu Kishi , the founder of Sei Ki and teach his amazing touch therapy in my own way. I've spent twenty-five years exploring these fields with total dedication.
I found my own ways to recover and live a full life and now share what I learnt with others experiencing extreme states, trauma, broken nervous systems or simply chronic stress situations, along with therapists seeking to enhance their capacity to support others.

About Julia:
I consider myself as a true ambassador and lover of Yoga Nidra, which I discovered in 2016 in Bali after a very severe health diagnosis.
Yoga Nidra has helped me enormously on my healing journey, so much so that I'm now a certified Yoga Nidra guide and am constantly training and evolving through continued trainings. Life's surprises...
My greatest desire is to bring this incredible, transformative and accessible practice to the French-speaking world, where it is still little known, and to enable you and, I hope, many others to benefit from its healing power, which helps us to become whole again.
