EasternPeace Tai Chi Tutorial Classes

Small Circle Yang Style Tai Chi for Health & Vitality

Anthony teaching in a Zen Centre in India

Join me in exploring the principles of Yang Style Tai Chi, with the aim of establishing a strong and lasting foundation for your practice.

These classes focus on Tai Chi as a path to inner calm, vitality, and rejuvenation rather than martial application.

We will learn a short sequence, which I call Yang 6. This is sufficient to support your health and well-being, while also preparing you to learn longer forms in the future.

To support your learning, I will share videos before and after each class so that we can make the most of our time together.

What I ask from you is a simple commitment: to practise.

More than most health practices, Tai Chi benefits from regular, steady engagement, especially at the beginning. With that consistency, the rewards can be profound.

The aim of the course is for you to become confident practising independently, so that Tai Chi can remain with you for life.

About Anthony:

Anthony Fidler

I graduated from Cambridge University in 1992 with a degree in computer science and management, alongside a period of personal breakdown that led me to look more deeply at health and recovery.

After working briefly in finance and programming, I travelled through India and Nepal before arriving in China, where I began studying Yang Style Tai Chi.

I went on to study the Beijing 24 and 42 Forms, as well as Chen Style, with Wang Zhi Ping between 1997 and 2006, including extended periods living in China.

I later studied in Chenjiagou with Chen Zhao Sen, before eventually settling into Small Circle Tai Chi with Yang Dong Bao. From 2010 onwards, I spent extended periods training with him one-to-one.

I have been teaching Tai Chi since 2005, and have focused on sharing Small Circle practice since 2014.
